The Sower's Academy
We plant the seeds; God gives the harvest.

The Sower’s Academy is a K-8 homeschool instructional program that partners with Christian families to enrich homeschool learning utilizing a university-model approach.
Our program meets three days per week for in-person learning: Tuesday-Thursday, 9:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m. and is held on the campus of Parkway Baptist Church in the Fort Myers Briarcliff community. Our experienced teachers offer 98 days of guided enrichment in small, classroom-style settings for an affordable annual tuition.
Our instructional model is distinctly Christian and utilizes curriculum and enrichment activities that support whole child development: physical, spiritual, moral, social-emotional, and academic. Qualified, Christian teachers provide foundational learning in the core subjects of Math and Language Arts, and facilitate enrichments in Science, History, Fine Arts, P.E., and other thematic and project-based explorations. We integrate frequent outdoor breaks for snack and lunch, free play, and outdoor learning experiences.
Our students engage core subject and enrichment instruction in mixed-age, classroom-style settings (K/1; 2/3; 4/5; 6/7/8), to enhance social-emotional development between older and younger students, and to encourage individualized learning based on student ability. Our teachers integrate subject rotations and team-teaching daily, which benefits every style of learner!
Home education days (Monday and Friday) are guided by a parent or guardian. Parents are provided a weekly guide/Newsletter to continue at-home learning utilizing the curriculums taught on meeting days, or parents may navigate their own academic supplements based on individual preference. As a homeschool enrichment program, and not a private school, traditional grading is not utilized and regular attendance on meeting days is optional. We believe it is every parent’s right, and responsibility, to oversee the academic outcomes of their student.

Program Offerings at Sower's
At The Sower's Academy, we offer a well-rounded, holistic and gospel-centered instructional program to enrich a child's learning. Our program is designed to instill a biblical, Christian worldview; inspire wonder and creativity through engaging activities, and strengthen academic ability in core subject areas.

Core Subject Learning
Math and Language Arts instruction is taught three days per week utilizing Math-U-See and Abeka Curriculums (K-8); phonics and literature units, handwriting (K-3), and IEW curriculums (4-8.) Students will have a primary teacher for core subjects and learn in smaller, differentiated groups by academic skill level (K/1; 2/3; 4/5; 6/7/8).

Christian Faith Integration
Biblical study and discipleship in the Christian faith is integrated daily (Tues-Thurs) through whole-group assembly, catechism, prayer, and praise and worship. All staff and enrolled families agree to a Statement of Faith and have evidence of a personal relationship with Jesus through a profession of faith and regular attendance at a local, evangelical church.

Engaging Enrichment
Academic enrichments in Science, History, Fine Arts, and P.E. are offered once per week by a specialist or teacher. We utilize engaging, project-based activities to teach a variety of enrichment subjects. Students also participate in off-campus field trips, two whole-group program performances, and frequently enjoy Sower's family gatherings in and around the community all year long!
