Our team
“A strong team isn’t just made up of skilled individuals; it’s woven together by the threads of friendship and mutual respect.” – Joel Salatin, Homestead Tsunami
Mrs. Anderson holds a M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a B.A. in English and Creative Writing, and has worked in education and administration for most of her professional career. For the last three years she served on the administrative team at Fort Myers Christian School as Director of Recruitment, and prior to that at Florida Gulf Coast University. The daughter of a career early childhood educator, Rachel grew up inside a classroom and understood education as a calling and ministry from a young age. Her most formative years were spent participating in theatre and fine arts, the Odyssey of the Mind program, playing outdoors, and writing poetry about her childhood home on Pine Island. She and her husband, Matt, have two sons and are active in their church. She is most excited to see the dream of Sower’s Academy come to life and be a blessing to children and families across SWFL!
Mrs. Bianco is a skilled, lifelong educator who is passionate about children and her Christian faith. She has taught for 17 years in public and private school settings across Florida, and holds a Master’s in Secondary Education, with a concentration in Language Arts, a Bachelor’s in Communication, and has a Florida Teaching Certification and Reading Endorsement. For the last 6 years, Rebecca taught ELA and mentored new teachers at Southwest Florida Christian Academy. Mrs. Bianco is a gifted teacher and communicator, and has a calm, warm and welcoming presence. In her own words, “I love teaching because working with children is life-giving to me. It's different each day! I'm most excited to be sharing my life-long love of learning at TSA in a setting that can be customized to meet the needs of each student.”
Mrs. Currier is a SWFL Native who has invested the last 10 years of her teaching career homeschooling her two daughters and teaching at a Classical Conversations co-operative in Fort Myers. Prior to this, she taught Mathematics in the Lee County Public School district. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education (Mathematics.) Brynn’s outgoing, creative, and bubbly presence makes her an engaging and fun teacher for all! In her own words, “I am thrilled to begin this adventure alongside my girls and other like-minded families. I am particularly excited about Odyssey of the Mind. I can’t wait to see how we problem solve and work together this year!”
Ms. Darda is entering her 11th year teaching, but her first year as a homeschool parent. Holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, she has served students in the SWFL area in both public and private settings for over a decade. Most recently, she taught 3rd grade at Fort Myres Christian School. Megan brings an engaging, yet nurturing, learning style to her classroom. She is patient, kind, and connects with each and every student on a personal level. In her own words, “I am so excited for this new adventure at Sower’s Academy and the freedom that it will bring for my family at home, for myself as a teacher, and the students in my classroom. I am most looking forward to “unschooling” and teaching our children where they are at, with the skills they need most.” She looks forward to building a community of families raising our children together.
