Admissions Process: How to Join Our Academy
Step One: Inquire
If you would like to learn more about our program, please reach out to us with additional questions randerson@thesowersacademy.com and schedule an appointment to tour our campus. Walk-in visits are not permitted.
Step Two: Apply Online
Let us know you'd like to join our school community by completing an online application with a $100 non-refundable application fee. Please note, an application is required for admission consideration, but does not guarantee admission. Eligibility for Admission Consideration will be based on space availability at time of application, as well as meeting our minimum admission criteria which includes the following:
You are believers and followers of Jesus Christ. At least one parent must be a professing Christian with evidence of a personal relationship with Christ and a Christian testimony. Parent and applicant must regularly attend and be involved in a local, evangelical church, and fully support and agree with our Statement of Faith. A positive reference from a leader at your church is required and will be updated every two years for continued enrollment.
Where applicable, your student is eligible to return to their previous school and has not been dismissed for conduct, behavioral, academic or developmental concerns. Financial records at previous school are free and clear, and your student’s grades and records can be provided upon request.
Our program is able to successfully support the physical, social-emotional, behavioral and academic needs of your student, and your student shows evidence of previous and continued success in semi-structured, mixed-age learning settings. Please Note: While under certain circumstances, TSA can be a good fit for students with learning challenges, our instructional program is not equipped, nor are our teachers and staff specifically trained in supporting students with accommodation plans, including, IEP’s, 504and MTSS plans, or other diagnosed disabilities and conditions that significantly impact classroom learning. In addition, students must be able to conduct themselves in the classroom and program without being a disruption and must be able to participate in assigned work.
You understand and agree that our program is a homeschool instructional program that offers supplemental academic enrichment for homeschool learners. Parents/guardians must be available to continue student learning on home days and take full responsibility for the learning progress, outcomes and documentation of your child’s learning for homeschool reporting purposes.
Step Three: Offer of Enrollment
Once we receive your application, a school administrator may schedule an additional family interview or assessment for your student to determine academic placement. If testing is required, an additional $50 testing fee will be required. Once all admissions requirements are satisfied, TSA will notify you that your student(s) has been accepted and send an electronic Offer of Enrollment! The final step is to accept our invitation by enrolling. We ask you to do this within two weeks of receiving your email offer. Our enrollment will include an Assumption of Risk/Liability Waiver, and the Financial Agreement. At this time, you'll pay a $300 per family, non-refundable enrollment fee via PayPal using a debit or credit card.
Non-discriminatory Policy
The Sower’s Academy will admit students of any race, color, nationality, and ethnicity to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded to or made available to students in the homeschool instructional program. We will not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin in the administration of our educational and admission policies, or other programs.
